Reporting content on Beachmates
Beachmates (Celsior Interactive Ltd, Cyprus) wants every player to feel safe. If something breaks our Terms or our community rules, you can report it, and you can block the person involved. This page explains how, and what happens next.
What you can report
- Harassment, threats or abuse
- Cheating, sandbagging or rating manipulation
- Fake, stolen or misleading profiles and photos
- Spam or unwanted solicitation
- Anything else that seems unsafe or against our Terms
How to report in the app
- A player: open their profile, use the menu at the top right, then choose Report.
- A conversation: in a direct message or a Matchmates chat, use the Report action in the conversation.
- A Matchmates card: while browsing partner suggestions, use the Report action on the card.
- A single message: in a direct message or a community channel, use the Report action on that specific message.
Each report lets you pick a reason and add optional details. Reports are confidential: the person you report is not told who reported them.
What happens next
1. Acknowledgement. We record your report as soon as you submit it. 2. Review. Our team reviews it against our Terms and community rules. We may hide or remove the content, warn, suspend or ban the account, correct ratings, or take no action if no rule was broken. 3. Outcome. In line with the EU Digital Services Act (Article 16), we will inform you of the decision taken on your report.
When a message has been removed by our team, it is replaced in the conversation by a short note so the thread still makes sense, without showing the original content.
If a moderation decision affects you
If we warn you, remove one of your contents, suspend your account or close it, we send you an email with a statement of reasons: the measure taken, the grounds for it, the end date of a suspension where one applies, and a reference number. We send it by email rather than as an in-app notification because a suspended or closed account can no longer sign in to read one. For measures that leave your account open, you also get a notification in the app.
That statement never says who reported you: reports stay confidential.
Contesting a decision
You can contest any of these decisions. Write to [email protected] within six months of the decision, quoting the reference number shown in the email. A person on our team, not an automated tool, reviews every appeal and answers you.
Moderation decisions on Beachmates are taken by people. We do not use automated tools to warn, suspend, ban, or remove content.
Blocking someone
Blocking is separate from reporting and takes effect immediately. A blocked person can no longer message you, send you friend requests, or appear in your Matchmates suggestions. You can block someone from their profile or from a conversation, and manage your blocked list in Account, then Privacy & safety.
Contact and point of contact
For anything related to reporting, moderation or online safety, including notices under the Digital Services Act, you can reach us at [email protected]. This is our single point of contact for these matters, and messages may be sent in English.
