How to find a club, apply to join it, and what changes for you once the club accepts you.
Find a club
Every club page is public. You can read all of it without an account.
The club directory
The Clubs page lists every club on Beachmates. You search by name, city or description, you narrow it down by country, then region, then city, and the clubs with the most members come first. On a large screen, a map shows a pin for each club venue.
What a club card tells you
Members, city, number of private courts, and whether the club runs classes or free play. When the club has published its fees, the card shows the lowest one. A club that is not taking new members carries an Enrollment closed badge.
The club page, tab by tab
Overview sums up the club and its venues, Planning shows every court day by day, Tournaments lists the events held at its venues, Classes and camps lists what you can join, Membership shows the fees, and Corporate is for company and private group requests. A Staff tab appears when the club presents its coaches.
The dark card at the top of a club page counts the players on court right now on the club courts, and how many sessions are still open today. It also lists the highest ranked teams of the club venue, by rank and team name, never with points.
An aggregated count, never names
Live at the club is a number and nothing else. The page never shows who is playing, and it says so on the card: aggregated count, we never show who is playing.
Become a member
Membership is an application, not a switch. Nothing opens until the club accepts you.
Open the application
The apply button on the club page opens the form that club published. You need to be signed in. Your answers are kept in your browser while you fill them in, so a long form on a phone is never lost.
Check what you share
Before anything is sent, a review screen lists exactly what the club receives: your profile name and your answers. Your contact details, and any field the club marked as sensitive, stay masked until you are accepted.
The club reviews it
The club can accept you, decline, or move you to the waiting list, and you are notified either way, with the note it leaves. Being accepted creates your membership immediately, with your dues marked as unpaid.
You settle the fee with the club
Membership fees are set by the club and settled directly with it. Paying inside the app is not open yet, so nothing is charged on Beachmates.
When enrollment is closed
The same page becomes the waiting list, and you get your rank in it. When the club opens again, everyone on the list is notified. Nobody becomes a member automatically, the club still decides one by one.
You can withdraw it
As long as your application is pending or on the waiting list, you can withdraw it from the same page.
Life as a member
What membership changes, court by court and class by class.
Planning, court by court
The Planning tab shows each club court for the day you pick, with the club classes, the free play windows and the player sessions. You join or leave a session right there, and leaving always asks you to confirm. Opening hours appear only when the club has declared them.
The club comes first
A club class wins over everything on its court. No session can be created over it, and if the club puts a class where a session was already planned, that session is cancelled and every player signed up is notified.
Free play
A free play window is the club opening a court instead of blocking it, and publishing one costs the club nothing. Open to everyone, it blocks nothing at all. Reserved to members, only members can open a session on that court during the window.
One net, one game
On a court run by a club, two sessions cannot overlap. On a public court, an overlap is only a warning and you can still create your game.
Weekly classes
Members join a weekly class in one tap and are enrolled in all its future sessions. Leaving cancels those future sessions and keeps the ones you attended. A visitor who is not a member sees an apply button instead.
One off classes
A class included in the membership is booked without paying, and by members only. A paid class shows its price and is marked coming soon, because paying inside the app is not open yet.
Who is coming, and the class chat
Up to three days before a weekly session, a Who is coming poll with Yes and No is posted and everyone enrolled is notified. The coach or the club staff can also send it earlier. The chat of a session stays private: the players enrolled, the coach and the club staff.
Camps
Club camps are listed in the Classes and camps tab. You sign up from the camp page, membership is not required, and a camp with a capacity closes once it is full.
Membership plans
The Membership tab lists the plans the club published, with what each one includes. During the beta they are read only: no buy button under them, and the fee is settled with the club.
Booking a court
Only the private courts of a club can be booked, one hour at a time. During the beta you reserve without paying and settle with the club. Free play courts need no booking, and public courts work with open sessions.
Club tournaments
The Tournaments tab lists the tournaments held at the venues the club has claimed, so a club with no claimed venue shows none. Registration itself happens on the tournament page.

My membership gathers your clubs, your dues status, your court access and your classes on one page.
Clubs and venues
A club and a venue are two different things. A club takes control of a venue by claiming it.
Claiming is free
A club, a school or a venue operator claims a venue from the venue page, stating its relation to it and attaching a supporting document. Our team reviews the claim. It can be sent without a club too: the club is created when the claim is approved.
The Verified badge
Once the claim is approved, the venue carries the Verified badge and states that it is managed and verified by that club.
What it changes for players
Editing stops being open to everyone: only the admins of the club that runs the venue can change the listing and its courts, and the claim button disappears. The courts of a claimed venue also feed the club planning and its tournaments tab.
What the club knows about you
Applying to a club means introducing yourself. Here is exactly what crosses over, and for how long.
As an applicant
The club admins see your profile name, your photo, your tier and your declared level, plus your answers to their form. Your contact details and the sensitive fields stay masked until they accept you. Only the admins of that club can read an application.
As a member
The club roster shows your name, your photo, your role in the club and whether your dues are settled. Its staff also sees who is enrolled in each class.
Members of your club can see you
If your profile hides your identity, sharing a club still opens your name and your photo to the other members of that club. Being accepted is what opens it, an application alone does not. A shared session, class or camp works the same way.
How long it is kept
A declined application is deleted three months after the decision, one still waiting six months after you sent it, and an accepted one twelve months after, once you are no longer a member. Your answers are part of your data export, and deleting your account deletes them.
